Equipment

We offer our clients solutions with modern, high-precision equipment. In order to identify potential issues in the field of air quality, including odour pollution, and noise management we use world-class equipment for measurements and continuous monitoring. All of the equipment that we use can also be rented or purchased.

Noise monitoring equipment

Noise monitoring equipment

For clients across the Baltic States, ELLE supplies noise-monitoring equipment manufactured by the French company 01dB, part of the Acoem Group – Fusion 4G and CUBE. The equipment is used by municipalities and by businesses in a wide range of industrial and construction sectors throughout Europe.

We offer equipment hire as well as long-term environmental noise monitoring at the client's site.

Description of the equipment

Since September 2008, ELLE has supplied particulate monitoring instruments manufactured by the German company GRIMM Aerosol Technik GmbH across all three Baltic States. Designed for long-term outdoor monitoring, these instruments continuously measure ambient PM10, PM2.5 and PM1 concentrations while also recording meteorological data. The measurement method – single-particle light scattering – complies with Latvian and European Union regulatory requirements.

Where required, ELLE also provides user training and support, together with warranty and post-warranty servicing. Equipment can be hired, or ELLE can provide long-term PM10, PM2.5 and PM1 monitoring at the client's site.

ELLE also supplies indoor particulate monitoring instruments and nanoparticle measurement equipment manufactured by GRIMM Aerosol Technik GmbH.

Electronic noses (for indoor and outdoor monitoring across a range of environments)

Electronic noses (for indoor and outdoor monitoring across a range of environments)

ELLE supplies clients across the Baltic States with Ellona WT1 and WT2 systems for monitoring odours and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Designed for long-term use both indoors and outdoors, these systems continuously measure odour and chemical concentrations while also recording meteorological data.

Depending on the client's field of activity, the systems can be equipped with:

  • electrochemical sensors (hydrogen sulphide, ammonia and mercaptans);
  • various types of metal-oxide sensors (covering a broad range of substances);
  • a photoionisation detector for volatile organic compounds.

Monitoring stations are calibrated using the odour measurement method specified in LVS EN 13725:2004, ‘Air quality – Determination of odour concentration by dynamic olfactometry’. During calibration, the monitoring station's readings are aligned with assessments made by an expert panel in the laboratory. A mathematical model is then used to convert the instrumental measurements into an odour concentration that correlates with human olfactory perception.
